Georgians suffer from rising household goods prices from Trump’s tariffs. Georgia
Republicans are silent.
And Georgians suffer from rising gas prices because of Trump’s unauthorized war
against Iran.
Georgia Republicans offer only Band-Aid efforts, not permanent solutions, not leadership.
U.S. inflation tripled over the month of March to nearly a full percent, killing jobs, gutting
savings, and forcing thousands of business closures. Commercial bankruptcy filings in
the First Quarter surged 37%, increased by 14% compared to 2025.
Georgia Republicans failed Georgia workers, causing record high layoffs in 2025.
Nearly 1,000 jobs were lost from a single ICE raid on a battery plant in your 50th Senate
District— but Georgia Republicans and your current Senator were silent. Meanwhile,
corporations received $11.4 Billion in business subsidies while the Republican-
controlled legislature sits on $14 Billion in reserves.
After 20 continuous years of Republican control, Georgia dropped out of the Top 10
states for agriculture, while your current Senator serves on the Agriculture and
Consumer Affairs Committee.
I’ll work to improve workers lives, including raising the minimum wage and expanding
Medicaid, increasing support for small business which make up over 98% of Georgia’s
nearly 1.5 million companies.
I will author legislation that mirrors the spirit of the federal Democrats’ New Affordability Agenda, which lowers prescription and electrical costs, provides gas rebates, lowers childcare costs, promotes new home construction and offers a first-time buyer credit, among other policies.
I’ll work across the aisle to assure the oversight that confirms that Georgia’s state departments are meeting the spirit and intent of public programs.
