Dave wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His father was a carpenter. His
mother was a librarian. He understands the blue-collar life and the minimum wage
worker life. He’s been an industrial spray painter, a metal/wood worker and a milling
machine operator; a fast-food worker, a pizza delivery driver and a gas station
attendant.
Dave covered news and features for a weekly newspaper, which opened his eyes to the
positive impact of public service.
Dave is the grandfather of two young boys, a pilot, and a solid tennis player.
As your state Senator, my three top priorities must be: 1) protect Georgia’s election system so that everyone’s voice is heard and their vote counted, 2) prevent corruption and prosecute those who violate the public trust— rather than re-write laws to protect them, and 3) assure that government agencies do their jobs. I will author legislation that elevates Georgia’s low rankings in health, education, and wages, and block economic opportunism that relies on subsidizing corporations with our hard-earned tax dollars.
The Georgia legislature needs members who understand the working people, and who already know how to govern. I understand the vast difference between for-profit companies and public service. I took an oath to defend the Constitution, and I will actively oppose those that undermine it.
